Designed for learners aged 16+ who want to pursue a career in Slate & Tile Roofing, this course runs across 12-18 months depending on experience. The course is open to any age group, but normally our ceiling is 24 years old.
Apprentices will attend off-the-job training at our roofing college/roof training centre one day per week to make up 20% of the job (OTJ) training. The remainder of the time is spent with the employer on-site, gaining the experience necessary for the end-point assessment which is comprised of 3 assessments; a test, observation and professional discussion.
